Not getting to see exactly what happens during those parts actually made me cringe and put me more into the point of view of our kind-of protagonist.

The found footage also helped conceal the lower budget effects so they weren't as off-putting. The scene where the special effects seemed the least convincing was during the talent show... when the camera was stationary.

I agree that by the end the found footage was ridiculous, but there were parts where it worked, at least more so than many other movies in the genre.Kschenkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06655115199381639363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24706348.post-84373538966149161722012-03-15T14:25:19.790-05:002012-03-15T14:25:19.790-05:00I just heard about this book for the first time th...I just heard about this book for the first time the other day. No discussion of bad films is complete without the mention of Troll 2. Available even on Blu-ray, the child star of the film, all grown up, has made a documentary, "Best Worst Movie" that is a vital part of the experience. That said, Manos is only viewable because of the MST3K crew. Watching it 'clean' alone could lead to suicide by drowning - by holding your head underwater in a toilet bowl. Troll 2 merely makes you forget how people do things and talk to each other.Chris Doyon (Nilbog3000)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24706348.post-57287097757370391432011-09-15T12:59:50.841-05:002011-09-15T12:59:50.841-05:00Loved the opening sentence!Loved the opening sentence!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13656729462144768052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24706348.post-62661080045719246612011-08-29T10:57:32.159-05:002011-08-29T10:57:32.159-05:00Isn't this interesting? As many as 80% of (paying) subscribers are on disc+ streaming, and Netflix LOSES MONEY on many if not most of them at the current price points.

At one disc per month, for example, a subscriber can easily receive as many as 7-8 discs a month. Estimates of round-trip mailing cost are usually around $1.20 per disc (BEFORE content costs). At $10/month, and adding in streaming costs, the company was, literally, operating below its marginal cost.

Netflix is not "betting" on anything except the fact that it cannot survive on negative margins. "Lying" consumers are simply not part of the equation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24706348.post-16417297259635200712006-02-16T22:16:00.000-06:002006-02-16T22:16:00.000-06:00First comment on this blog ever! :) NeilalienFirst comment on this blog ever! :) NeilalienAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24706348.post-41271810459869636542006-02-16T22:19:00.000-06:002006-02-16T22:19:00.000-06:00Yes, good for you.
